Kaagazi x Khamir is a collaborative collection of stationery where textile & paper come together to tell the story of Modern Indian Handicraft.
Based in Bhuj, Khamir helps local & traditional artisans to keep their craft traditions & livelihoods alive. One of the ways it preserves tradition is by producing "Kala Cotton" - one of the most carbon & water efficient cottons in the world. It grows easily in drought prone areas and requires no additional irrigation, chemicals or pesticides.
The book invites you to support the growth & use of carbon neutral crops alongwith a modern flat lay binding that is easy to use. The hardbound fabric cover is bloack printed with natural dyes making the book extremely durable and is finished with a handcrafted tassel bookmark.
