Digital Artisans of India Awards recognises innovation in craft
The Digital Empowerment Foundation, Digikargha, and Creative Dignity have jointly announced the Digital Artisans of India Awards 2026, recognising Indian artisans and organisations that are harnessing digital tools to preserve traditional crafts, expand market reach, and build sustainable livelihoods. The application submission deadline is May 31, 2026. The initiative celebrates the intersection of India’s rich News Source: KNN India handloom and handicraft heritage with contemporary digital innovation. Eligible nominees include artisans and organisations that blend traditional craft techniques with technology; use digital platforms — including reels, e-commerce, the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), and artificial intelligence tools — to sell, showcase, and scale their work; empower fellow artisans through innovation; and build sustainable income streams from creative practice.
